Services:

Our Board and Train Dog Training School is in the Trainer’s Home and our Dog Kennel Training school will be at Pet Port Kennels. The Board and Train Dog Training School service in a trainer’s home is for spoiled dogs. Dogs that live mainly inside and have been treated more like a child than a dog. It is also for dogs not suited for Boarding Kennel Training, dogs that might have anxiety or have undue stress in a kennel environment.

Our Dog Training School program in our home is suggested for dogs that might have had a hard time house breaking and you would want to maintain that by using the crate training techniques used in our dog training school program. The training in the trainer’s home is a more realistic environment where the dog comes into the home and learns to be calm and obedient. Dogs will go to our doggie daycare during the day for period of times when they are not in training to socialize and play with other friendly dogs. They go on several nature walks a day and spend time inside with us so they can learn house manners such as not to take food off the counters. They become a part of our pack and learn to act accordingly.

A description of both services and prices are below.

Board and Train Dog Training School in the Trainer’s Home:

$495 a week with a 2 week minimum for basic dog on leash obedience training. Our board and train trainer lives on the property of Atlanta Dog Trainer in a sweet farm house located in Alpharetta. The dog will be kept in the trainer’s home and become a part of their existing family. Since the dog is in a home environment, we can work on basic in house manners such as counter surfing, obedience training, behavior modification and a foundation for house breaking. A plus for the dogs in our dog training school is daily walks, playtime in the trainers secured fenced yard, and specialized attention in the trainer’s home with the trainer. It will be a home away from home for your dog. As a part of the dog behavior training school, they will also get to visit our doggie daycare and socialize with other dogs.

The dog training school will include the minimum of 4 training sessions each day, including weekends,  coming to our group obedience classes for distraction training , long walks to work on no pull and heel and training in front of our doggie daycare for further obedience proofing. There is a 2-week minimum on the Board and Train basic obedience programs.

A complimentary consultation to evaluate which service would suit your dog best is included in the cost of the training programs. Additionally when you come to pick-up your dog from our dog training school a “Go Home" lesson is included in the price of service. The lesson will go over what commands the dogs have learned and how to reinforce the behavior once your dog is back in their environment. After the dog goes home and you have had a week to work on transferring the leadership to you and generalize the dog to other environments, we will give you a complimentary lesson to go over any dog behavior training issues.

Testimonials

"My son Joey who lives at Jekyll Island received Candy Barr, an Australian Sheep Dog, for Christmas. We hope that she can serve as a Psychiatric Service Dog for him! At eight months old, I picked her up from the island and after a rainy, long drive with Candy Barr freaking out in the car from the lightening, wind shield wipers and large, noisy trucks; I delivered her to Atlanta Dog Trainers in Alpharetta. HELP!! After two weeks at Atlanta Dog Trainers, I drove the same dog--calm, confident and mannerly back to my smiling, pleased son. You are the bomb Atlanta Dog Trainers."
Thank you.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the progress our 2 dachshunds made after being in Susie's dog boarding kennel training program. They lived with the trainer for two weeks and she transformed them from being dogs that do whatever they want to dogs that actually listen and obey commands. They can now sit, go into a down, stay, go to their "place", come when called and Hannah, the older dog, can even shake hands. We are impressed! Also, Susie worked on the barking issues, as well as helped them become calmer when walking past other dogs (as opposed to barking, pulling, etc.) When we went to pick them up and have our training session, it was obvious how well they had been taken care of while training with Atlanta Dog Trainer. In fact, I think the dogs would have been just as happy to stay with her instead of come home with us!"
Thanks.
