Our Primary Goal

Our primary goal in doggie daycare is to release your dog's stress and energy and to mentally stimulate them while in our care. Small playgroups and individual care make this possible.

Trusted Dog Daycare in North Atlanta

Physical exercise is essential for maintaining good behavior in dogs - it's a principle we emphasize in every obedience class. While walking provides good exercise, running gives dogs the freedom to fully release their energy and reduce stress and anxiety. That's why our Milton dog daycare features 2.5 acres with 12 spacious play yards where dogs can run and play freely. With just 10 dogs per playgroup - compared to 30-60 at most facilities - your dog gets the space and attention they deserve.

Experience the Atlanta Dog Trainer Difference

We've learned through experience that "an exhausted dog does nothing wrong." Beyond just making dogs tired, running helps release pent-up stress and anxiety that often leads to destructive behavior.

With 20+ years of experience as certified canine behavior and training specialists, we've designed more than a typical dog daycare experience - our Milton-based training facility creates a brain-and-body playground for dogs that engages them both mentally and physically. This comprehensive approach benefits all dogs, from working breeds to mixed breeds, purebreds to mutts.

Our Milton Dog Daycare Facility

Your dog's safety and comfort guide every aspect of our facility design. Our secure space spans 200 feet long and 77 feet wide, protected by 6-foot high fencing with reinforced bottom lines. Dogs enjoy access to a large covered and enclosed barn featuring four extra-large stalls - perfect for weather protection - plus three additional covered areas and 12 reinforced play yards. For added comfort, we provide Weather Beeters insulated and waterproof jackets and maintain boarding rooms for extended weather events.

Summer brings an extra splash of fun with our 48-foot dock diving pool, where dogs enjoy supervised swims with qualified associates.

Getting Started at Our Dog Daycare

Safety and well-being drive everything we do. Each dog begins with a temperament test to ensure they're comfortable with both humans and other dogs, and must exhibit a high level of friendliness towards both.

Temperament Testing at Atlanta Dog Trainer:

  • Current clients: $20

  • New clients: $25

  • Client dogs who haven't visited in the past 6 months must retake the test

  • Schedule your test: (770) 714-9877

Criteria for Acceptance

At our Doggie Daycare, the safety and well-being of all dogs is our top priority. That's why we have established the following criteria for acceptance:

Temperament Testing Requirement
All dogs are welcomed here at our doggie daycare, but to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, we do require a temperament test for all dogs, even if they’re already enrolled in another daycare facility. For new clients, this test costs $25. If your dog hasn’t been with us in the last 6 months, they'll need to take the test again.

Guidelines for Safety and Enjoyment

  • We cannot accept any unaltered dogs (unneutered males or unspayed females) after they reach 10 months of age.

  • This policy helps maintain a calm, stress-free environment for everyone.

  • Unneutered males may exhibit territorial behaviors and humping.

  • Unspayed females can cause disruption through hormonal behaviors even when not in heat.

  • Altered dogs often respond differently to unaltered dogs, sometimes creating uncomfortable social dynamics in group play.

  • Safety is our top priority, as these natural behaviors can lead to unwanted stress for all dogs.

  • We appreciate your understanding as we work to create the most positive experience possible for every dog in our care.

Drop-off Time
Make sure to drop off your pups before 10:30 AM!

Health and Well-being Policy
To keep our environment healthy, any dogs showing signs of illness or those with flea or tick infestations will not be accepted. If your dog has been sick recently or has any health conditions, we’ll need a written release from a veterinarian for them to join us.

Weight and Vaccination Requirements
Each pup should weigh at least 10 pounds and be between 3.5 to 4 months old, fully vaccinated, including a rabies shot, with proof provided within 6 months of your reservation.

Collar Guidelines
When bringing your dog, please ensure they have an appropriate collar (no buckle collars, please) and leave any choke chains or correction collars at home.

Our Commitment to a Positive Atmosphere
At Atlanta Dog Trainer, we're dedicated to creating a positive atmosphere for all. If we ever feel a dog may be problematic or pose a threat to others, we reserve the right to refuse or revoke their daycare privileges. Our main goal is to ensure every dog enjoys their time with us safely and happily!
