Our primary goal in Doggie Daycare is to release your dog’s stress and energy and to mentally stimulate them while in our care.

At Doggie Daycare, we understand that being away from their beloved humans can be tough on pups. That's why we make it our top priority to provide a comfortable and stimulating environment for our four-legged friends. Whether it's through playtime with other pups or mental exercises to keep their minds sharp, we'll do everything we can to help your dog release their excess energy and relax while they're in our care. So go ahead and leave your pup with us - we'll make sure they have a doggone good time!

At our obedience classes, we always emphasize the importance of physical exercise in maintaining good behavior in dogs. Walking is great, but running allows dogs to fully release their energy and reduce stress and anxiety. That's why we have 2.5 acres of farm land with 12 spacious play yards for your dog to run and play in. Our playgroup size is kept small, with a maximum of 10 dogs, so your furry friend will have plenty of room to stretch their legs. In contrast, many other facilities pack up to 30-60 dogs in a single play room. Trust us to provide your dog with the space and exercise they need to be well-behaved and happy.

About Doggie Daycare

As we always say in our obedience classes, "an exhausted dog does nothing wrong." Walking a dog makes them tired, but running releases pent-up stress and anxiety that can manifest as destructive behavior.

As a certified canine behavior and training specialist with 20 years of experience working with dogs, we designed our doggie daycare to be a playground that not only exercises your dog physically but also stimulates them mentally. Many working breeds, as well as mixed breeds, need both mental and physical stimulation. Our doggie daycare is perfect for purebreds, mixes, and mutts of all kinds. We have agility equipment for them to play on and our staff works to build special one-on-one relationships with each dog, ensuring that we are aware of their unique needs.

Our secured facility is 200 feet long and 77 feet wide, with 6 foot high fencing and a reinforced bottom line. It's large enough for us to supervise your dog while they run, jump, and play, but also gives them ample room to do so. The doggie daycare is attached to a large covered and enclosed barn with four extra-large stalls for protection from inclement weather, as well as 3 additional covered areas and 12 reinforced play yards for your dog to enjoy. Plus, we provide Weather Beeters insulated and waterproof jackets to all dogs and have boarding rooms available if the weather persists. In the summer, we also offer a huge 48 foot dock diving pool for an additional fee of $25, where your dog can have a supervised swim with a qualified associate.

In addition to our regular doggie daycare services, we also offer swimming for weight loss and exercise, swim therapy, dock diving, and "Splash and Play" play groups with agility tunnels. Our trained and knowledgeable staff has completed first aid classes and is educated on issues such as bullying behavior, dehydration, and stress, and can recognize when a dog needs a rest period.

If you have a hyperactive, stressed-out, or under-exercised dog, bring them to our doggie daycare and let us do the rest. When you pick your dogs up, they will likely be so tired that they'll fall asleep in the car on the way home and be the perfect angel that you always knew they could be.

Criteria for Acceptance

At our Doggie Daycare, the safety and well-being of all dogs is our top priority. That's why we have established the following criteria for acceptance:

  • All dogs must undergo a temperament test, even if they are currently enrolled in another doggie daycare program. Temperament tests are $25 for new clients, and clients whose dogs have not stayed with us within the last 6 months must retake the test.

  • We cannot accept unneutered male dogs over 8-9 months old. Some dogs, even if they are neutered, may have issues with unneutered males. Safety is our main concern, especially when it comes to male dogs who exhibit humping behavior towards other dogs. We cannot control the level of correction that other dogs may give in response to humping, and it is unfair to the dogs who are constantly being corrected.

  • No unspayed females in heat are allowed at our doggie daycare.

  • Dogs must be dropped off before 10:30 am.

  • No sickly, flea and tick-ridden dogs are allowed. Dogs that have been ill within the last 30 days (unless a written release form from their veterinarian is provided) or have health issues that could be transferable to other dogs are also not allowed. A current health exam is preferred.

  • Dogs must be at least 10 pounds and at least 3.5-4 months of age, with current rabies vaccinations. Proof of all vaccines, including Bordetella, must be provided within 6 months of reservation.

  • All dogs must have a collar (NO BUCKLE COLLARS ALLOWED). Choke chains and correction collars are not allowed while dogs are in the daycare yards.

  • Atlanta Dog Trainer reserves the right to refuse, remove, or cancel visitation privileges to any dog that we perceive as a problem dog, including overly dominant dogs or any dogs that we believe may pose a danger to our doggie daycare center, staff, dogs, or clients.
